We have been breeding Frenchies for almost 4 yrs., but have bred other dogs prior to this.
At Texas Legacy Frenchies, our philosophy is simple: health, quality, and love come first. All of our dogs are DNA health tested, and we only do intentional breedings to ensure strong genetics, sound structure, and good temperament. We are not in this for the money—our focus is on raising happy, healthy Frenchies who are ready to become lifelong companions. Being a home-based breeder, every one of our dogs and puppies is raised under our roof as part of the family, surrounded by love and daily care from the very beginning.
Yes, we do! We work with our very own trusted flight nanny who is USDA certified. This ensures your puppy travels safely and comfortably, never alone, and is personally handed over to you at your nearest major airport.
Frenchies do shed, but it’s typically moderate compared to many breeds. Regular brushing helps keep their coat healthy and reduces shedding around your home.
Yes! Frenchies are known for their loving and playful personalities. They usually do well with children and other pets when properly socialized, which we start early in our home.
French Bulldogs enjoy playtime and short walks but don’t require excessive exercise. They’re a companion breed, so they’re happiest being with their people.
Like all breeds, Frenchies can be prone to certain health issues. That’s why we DNA health test all of our dogs before breeding to ensure we are producing the healthiest puppies possible. We also provide a one-year health guarantee* for added peace of mind.
Frenchies are smart and eager to please, though they can sometimes be a little stubborn. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, they train very well. We find that a consistent routine every day helps them.
Your puppy will need time to adjust to their new environment. Be prepared with food, a safe space, and lots of love. We’ll send you home with all the information you need to make the transition smooth and successful.
Your frenchie will be eating Royal Canine Solid Puppy Solid Food.
Not yet. Your puppy hasn’t had all of their shots, which means they’re still at risk for serious illnesses like parvovirus (parvo). Parvo is a dangerous virus that can spread through other dogs, contaminated grass, dirt, or even the bottoms of shoes. Until your puppy has had at least two rounds—or ideally all—of their vaccinations, we recommend keeping them away from dog parks and unfamiliar outdoor areas. It is safe to play inside your home or in your own yard until they’re fully protected.
Great question! At Texas Legacy Frenchies, we start all of our puppies on litter box training to keep them safe until they’re fully vaccinated. We use an XL dog litter box along with Fresh News Recycled Paper.
This setup helps your puppy learn good potty habits indoors while protecting them from harmful germs and viruses they could pick up outside before their shots are complete.
When you bring home a Texas Legacy Frenchie, you’re not just getting a puppy—you’re starting a VIP experience. Each of our puppies goes home with a premium package designed to make the transition smooth and special. Inside you’ll find: a complete folder with shot records, pet insurance information (30 days free—be sure to activate it!), microchip details for registration, helpful reading material, exclusive affiliate discount codes, starter samples, a bag of the food your puppy has been eating, wet wipes, lots of fun toys, a cozy blanket that smells like home, to-go water bowl and yummy treats. We believe every family deserves to feel prepared and every puppy deserves the very best start.
